Willingness to Work Was Fundamental

Like the businessmen who once met until 2:00 a.m. in order to devise a strategy designed to secure more schools for Lawton, [1] agricultural school faculty and students worked endlessly to develop, implement, and complete programs and assignments. Officials proudly advertised the institution as "a place for busy people," a place "where everybody hustles." [2]
