Introduction
In existence from 1909 - 1927, Cameron State School of Agriculture prepared post-elementary school age children for life as successful farmers and farm family homemakers. Legislators and local businessman created the school in order to help maintain and improve agriculture. Students mastered traditional high school course content and procedural skills associated with the practice of agriculture and farm life activities. Participation in debate club, religious organization, literary society and musical group activities enabled students to develop their speaking, writing, social and musical skills. Physical and character development comprised integral components of student education.
