Chamber of Commerce Members Prepared to Build a Dormitory
Lawton Chamber of Commerce members promised to raise $5,000 to enable the building of a girl’s dormitory. City officials purchased a water line enabling the men who had financed its completion to begin dormitory construction, something they did "twenty minutes after the [pipeline] sale." [1]
