Lawton Arts & Entertainment Magazine

Premium Advertising Space Available as Lawton Arts & Humanities Council Fundraiser

Lawton Arts & Entertainment Magazine is a free quarterly publication published by the Lawton Arts & Humanities Council and the City of Lawton. In addition, grants from the Oklahoma Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts have been awarded to the project. The magazine’s focus is to serve area visual and performing artists, patrons, while providing a forum for writers and poets.  As a means of raising funds for the Lawton Arts & Humanities Council, they are now offering premium-advertising space; full, half, and quarter page at reasonable rates.

Dr. Von Underwood, of the council’s fundraising committee notes that, “the recession and a slow recovery have placed a strain on us all, but perhaps especially on arts organizations. To help in maintaining the programs of the Lawton Arts & Humanities Council, the board decided this year to make a limited amount of space available (four pages) for advertising in the magazine. The funds collected are used to support our Lawton Arts & Humanities Council programs.”

Each quarter, 8,000 copies are printed.   The magazines are mailed directly to patrons as well as delivered to various sites throughout the Lawton/Fort Sill Area.  The magazine contains articles and artwork from Lawtonians, and a listing of events for a three-month period.
