Operates a variety of light and medium duty equipment utilized in construction, maintenance and repair activities; performs a variety of tasks in maintenance activities
Operates trucks from pick-up to dump truck size in the loading, hauling and unloading of various equipment, materials and supplies and medium duty equipment, mowers, tractors and brush hog, backhoe, weedeaters, chainsaws, and trimmers and occasionally a motor grader. Assists in the repair and construction of shelters, picnic tables, gates, piers, docks, fences. Performs routine inspection and preventative maintenance on assigned vehicles, tools and equipment. Performs custodial work when required. Supervises temporary workers. Knowledge of operating and servicing trucks and related automotive equipment. Knowledge of traffic laws and regulations involved in equipment operation. Ability to work in all types of weather and ability to work independently. Knowledge of and ability to operate motorized vehicles and equipment, including dump truck, pick-up truck, compressors, generators, large tractor and bat wing mower, backhoe, common hand and power tools, welder, table saw, drills, and all other power tools
Requirement-Education & Experience
Possession of a valid driver’s license must obtain a Class "B" Oklahoma Commercial driver’s license must be obtained within 6 months of date of hire with written test being passed within 30 days of date of hire. Due to Oklahoma State licensing requirements for this position, an original or certified true copy of your birth certificate or passport must be made available before a conditional offer for a job can be made.Graduation from an accredited high school, vocational school or possession of a GED equivalent. Four years experience working with light equipment and medium equipment. Ability to obtain a State pesticide service tech license within the first twelve (12) month of employment.
