MEETING CALLED TO ORDER
WITH ROLL CALL.
Welcome visitors and
consider the minutes of the Special Called Meeting of October 3, 2011.
AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION: Anyone having an item of business to present to the
commission that does not appear on the agenda please come forward.
NEW BUSINESS:
1. Consider and take appropriate action to endorse the recommendation
from the Korean War Veterans Association for the construction and maintenance
of the memorial for the Korean War Veterans and site location at Elmer Thomas
Park. (Parks and Recreation Director)
2. Consider and take appropriate action, if necessary, concerning
the proposed rule changes for 2012 Youth Baseball rules to sanction the Lawton
Youth Baseball program under USSSA. (Recreation Services Administrator)
3. Consider and take appropriate action,
if necessary, concerning the Youth Baseball rules and
and
regulations for the 2012 season as follows: (Recreation Services Administrator)
1) School League – All players on a team
must be listed on the team’s lineup card and bat in the order listed.
2) Open League Teams – Coaches have the option
of choosing to list all players on their team and all players bat in that order;
or listing their starters. Each coach
must inform the official of their choice when the lineup card is turned in.
3) Lineup Cards:
a. School Division – Each coach will be
furnished a line card before each game.
Coaches will fill out cards with players’ full names and jersey numbers
and give cards to the official. All
Players present must be listed on the lineup card and each player must bat in
that order.
b. Open League Division – Each coach will
be furnished a lineup card before each game.
Coaches will fill out a card with the players’ full names and jersey
numbers and give the cards to the official.

4. Nominations for Chairman and
Vice-Chairman for the Parks and Recreation Commission for 2012.
