Meeting Rooms
The Lawton Public Library offers three meeting rooms, available to nonprofit groups.
Meetings must be open to the public and free of charge. Scheduling for the meeting rooms
is coordinated by the Director's Secretary. The library board room contains a large conference
table and is ideal for small group meetings. The two large meeting rooms in the library lobby,
Meeting Room 1 and Meeting Room 2, work well for larger groups or where more space is required.
Meeting Room 2 has a small kitchen available for groups. The wall between the two meeting rooms
may be collapsed for really large groups or where a lot of space is required. Chairs, tables,
chalk boards, and audiovisual equipment such as video cassette recorders, televisions, overhead
projectors, and opaque projectors are available and supplied by the library for meetings on request.
To book a room or to check on availability, call the library at (580) 581-3450, extension 7.
Mobile Books
On request, books and other materials may be delivered directly to library customers
within the city of Lawton. The Mobile Books program has been established to see that disabled
persons and homebound senior citizens have an opportunity to have books (print or audio) brought to
their places of residence -- free of charge. The books (print and audio) may be kept for three weeks and
rechecked if necessary. There is a good collection of large-print books to choose from also. To participate in this program, just call the library at
(580) 581-3450, extension 3.
