Bring the whole family out for a drive of the park or stop and walk the paths to take part in activities, rides, food, & winter fun.
Make it a new tradition for your family; come out to the Holiday in the Park!
Vision for Holiday in the park grew out of the desire to continue the beautiful project “The Boulevard of Lights” on Gore Boulevard, established approximately 18 years ago. The Boulevard of Lights board members are the foundation of the new volunteer group, “Holiday in the Park” bringing the lights to Elmer Thomas Park. They made the transition seamless.
Elmer Thomas Park in recent years has experienced many positive changes such as additional lighting, park friendly street access, and more parking. Also, the new amphitheatre is a welcomed addition as seen with large well-attended events such as the 4th of July Celebration, Boy Scout Jamboree, and the Lawton Birthday Celebration!
A volunteer committee makes Holiday in the Park possible with more than 30 community business leaders showing support by purchasing lighted displays for everyone to enjoy. Donations will be welcomed on site as the plan is to keep the “Holiday in the Park”, growing and getting better each year with these funds.
Families, businesses, civic groups, youth groups…everyone is invited!
We welcome you to join in the effort…
