LAWTON CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING
MARCH 7, 2011 9:00 A.M.

Mayor Fitch called the meeting to order at 9:03 a.m. Notice of meeting and agenda
were posted
on the City Hall notice board as required by law. Invocation was given by Jim Russell, followed
by the Pledge of Allegiance

COMMENTS CURRENT ADMINISTRATION
Tenis stated he is looking forward to working with the new council members and moving
forward with plans for the city.
Shoemate stated he is also looking forward to working with the new council members
and he
hopes they can continue moving forward with this great city.
Mitchell stated he appreciates all of the support the City Council has given the
city manager s
office and staff and they are ready to move forward with the new council members as they take
their seats.
Mayor Fitch stated there has been a lot of success in the past and he is banking
on a lot of
success in the future.
DECLARE CURRENT ADMINISTRATION TO CEASE MAYOR FRED L. FITCH.
ADMINISTRATION OF CONSTITUTIONAL AND STATUTORY OATHS OF OFFICE
MUNICIPAL COURT JUDGE NATHAN JOHNSON.
Rex Givens and Jay Burk received their Oaths of Office from Judge Johnson.
DECLARE NEW ADMINISTRATION TO BEGIN: MAYOR FRED L. FITCH.

COMMENTS NEW ADMINISTRATION
Givens stated he is looking forward to working with the council members, Mayor and
City
Manager.
Mayor Fitch stated he is excited about the knowledge and capabilities that Council
member
Givens will bring to the table.
There being no further business to consider, the meeting adjourned at 9:12 a.m. upon
motion,
second and roll call vote.
