LAWTON CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING
MARCH 2, 2009 - 8:30 A.M.

Presiding                        Larry Mitchell, City Manager
                            Frank Jensen, City Attorney
                            Traci Hushbeck, City Clerk
                            Michael Corrales, Municipal Court Judge
                            
Mayor Purcell called the meeting to order at 8:31 a.m. Notice of meeting and agenda were posted on the City Hall notice board as required by law.   Invocation was given by Councilmember Bill Shoemate, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance

ABSENT:                Jeffrey Patton, Ward Six  
Randy Warren, Ward Eight

COMMENTS –  CURRENT ADMINISTRATION - There were no comments.

DECLARE CURRENT ADMINISTRATION TO CEASE –  MAYOR JOHN P. PURCELL, JR.

Mayor Purcell requested Judge Corrales come forward for the Oath of Office.  

ADMINISTRATION OF CONSTITUTIONAL AND STATUTORY OATHS OF OFFICE –  MUNICIPAL COURT JUDGE MICHAEL CORRALES.

Richard Zarle, Stanley Haywood and Doug Wells received the Oaths of Office from Judge Corrales.  

DECLARE NEW ADMINISTRATION TO BEGIN:  MAYOR JOHN P. PURCELL, JR.

COMMENTS –  NEW ADMINISTRATION

Wells thanked everyone for welcoming him and stated he hopes to do a good job for his constituents and the citizens of Lawton.

Zarle thanked his constituents for the opportunity to work for his community again.

Haywood thanked everyone for letting him return for another term.

There being no further business to consider, the meeting adjourned at 8:38 a.m. upon motion, second and roll call vote.
