LAWTON CITY SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING

JANUARY 8, 1997 - 3:00 P.M.

The joint meetingof the Lawton City Council and Lakes & Land Commission was called to order at  3:00 p.m. Notice of meeting and agenda were posted on the City Hall bulletin board as required by State law.

ROLL CALL

Present:

        Richard Williams, Ward Two

        Joe Dutcher, Ward Three

        John P. Purcell, Jr., Ward Four

        Robert Shanklin, Ward Five

        Charles P. Beller, Ward Six

        Carol Green, Ward Seven

        Randy Warren, Ward Eight

Absent:        Jody Maples, Ward One

Roll Call for Lakes & Land Commission reflected the following members being present: Fred Cooke, Robert Hutchins, Phil Easton, Bob Milan, E. J. Ardoin, and Jerry Pippin. Russ Fisher was absent.

AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION: None.

BUSINESS ITEMS:

1.    Met with the Lakes & Land Commission to consider development of a Master Plan for Lakes Ellsworth and Lawtonka.

Persons providing information other than the members present: John Perry, Ralphs Resort concession lessee; Larry Meese, Robinsons Landing concession lessee; Mrs. Colon, Fishermans Cove concession lessee; Mrs. Moore, School House Slough concession lessee; Joe Henson, Lakes Supervisor.

No motions were made by the Council. Lakes & Land continued their meeting to January 15 at 3:00  p.m. at the Owens Multi-Purpose Center to provide a recommendation on the concession lease.
