LAWTON CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING
APRIL 12,, 1996 - 9:00 A.M.

The meeting was called to order at 9:05 a.m.. by Mayor Marley. Notice of meeting and
agenda were posted on the City Hall bulletin board as required by law.

BUSINESS ITEMS:
1. Received briefing on co-composting operation for the Landfill; tour of Landfill
area.
Introductions were made of all those persons present, among those present were City of
Lawton staff members Chris Thomas, Jerry Ihler, Steven Burnsworth, John Vincent, J.
B. Howle, Bill Baker; and Council members elect Charlie Beller and Randy Warren;
others present were from the Chamber of Commerce, State and Federal
representatives, DEQ representatives and Ft. Sill. Bill Barwick, Ft. Sill; Abe
Deutchendorf, Jim Glover, and Ron Kirby; and Don Pendergraph and A. C. Harris from
DEQ.
Mr. Frederics, EarthCare, provided information on the type of composting used by
EarthCare and how the composting operation works.
