LAWTON CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING

MARCH 18, 1996 - 5:30 P.M.

The meeting was called to order at 5:30 p.m. by Mayor Pro Tem Glen Alford. Notice of meeting and agenda were posted on the City Hall bulletin board as required by law.

AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION FOR ANYONE HAVING AN ITEM FOR THE COUNCIL TO CONSIDER RELATING TO THE PLANNING DEPARTMENT: Cecil Powell; Red Kirby; Nick Richards; Frank Richards.

BUSINESS ITEMS:

1.    Receive an informational briefing regarding the policies and procedures of the Planning Department, and affirm, modify or establish policies and procedures for the Planning Department for implementation by the City Manager.

Robert Bigham provided a briefing book and reviewed the document.

2.    Determine any future meeting dates or subjects of discussion.

Council moved to  adjourn the investigation information meetings.

Branscum requested information on a letter that Council voted at the March 12, meeting to have the Mayor send to FEMA and asked why it had not been sent to FEMA. Council members recommended the letter be mailed.
