LAWTON CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING
FEBRUARY 6, 1996 - 6:00 P.M.

The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. by Mayor Marley.
Notice of meeting and agenda were posted on the City Hall
bulletin board as required by law.

BUSINESS ITEMS:
1. Consider appointing a joint City of Lawton-Lawton Chamber
of Commerce and Industry Ad Hoc Committee to develop and
recommend to the City Council improvements in the administrative
procedures through which Hotel-Motel Tax expenditures are
requested, disbursed, and accounted for to the Council and
citizens of Lawton. EXHIBITS: PROPOSED AD HOC COMMITTEE TERMS OF
REFERENCE.
Approved as presented.
2. Convene to initiate Council's investigation of the City
government, and adopt procedures for the investigation.
Approved to meet beginning February 12 on Mondays and Thursdays
at 5:30 p.m. and other dates as Council sees fit. Council agreed
to hear from the Personnel Director on February 12 and the Police
Chief on the following Thursday.
Citizens who spoke before the Council were: Tom Leon and Bob
Stevens.
