LAWTON CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING
FEBRUARY 29, 1996 - 5:30 P.M.
COUNCIL CHAMBER - WAYNE GILLEY CITY HALL

The meeting was called to order at 5:30 p.m. by Mayor Marley.
Notice of meeting and agenda were posted on the City Hall
bulletin board as required by law.

Absent: None
Council members discussed meeting dates for special meetings
being held on alternate weeks of regular meetings. Approved
meeting on Thursday's of regular meeting weeks and Monday's and
Thursday's for special meetings on those weeks when there are no
regular meetings. A meeting was scheduled for March 4.
AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION FOR ANYONE HAVING AN ITEM FOR THE COUNCIL
TO CONSIDER RELATING TO THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT: None.
BUSINESS ITEMS:
1. Conduct an investigation into the policies and procedures
of the Public Works Department, and affirm, modify or establish
policies and procedures for the Public Works Department for
implementation by the City Manager.
Mitchell left the meeting.
J. B. Howle Public Works Director, distributed and provided an
overview of the department and responded to questions from the
Council Members; Robert Griggs, Landfill Superintendent responded
to questions regarding the landfill.
2. The next meeting was set for March 14 with the subject of
discussion to be the Planning Department.
