MINUTES
LAWTON CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING
FEBRUARY 19, 1996 - 5:30 P.M.
COUNCIL CHAMBER - WAYNE GILLEY CITY HALL

The meeting was called to order at 5:30 p.m. by Mayor Marley.
Notice of meeting and agenda were posted on the City Hall
bulletin board as required by law.

Absent: Richard Zarle, Ward Six
Glen Alford, At-Large No. 2
AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION: ANYONE HAVING AN ITEM FOR THE COUNCIL TO
CONSIDER RELATING TO THE POLICE DEPARTMENT OR MUNICIPAL COURT:
None.
BUSINESS ITEMS:
1. Conduct an investigation into the policies and procedures
of the Police Department, and affirm, modify or establish
policies and procedures for the Police Department for
implementation by the City Manager.
Billy Wayne Adamson, Chief of Police, provided a packet of
information and responded to the questions provided by the
Council members.
Meeting recessed at 7:20 p.m. and reconvened at 7:30 p.m. with
all members present upon roll call except Zarle, Green, Alford
and Mitchell.
2. Conduct an investigation into the policies and procedures
of the Municipal Court, and affirm, modify or establish policies
and procedures for the Municipal Court for implementation by the
City Manager.
Ken Harris, Municipal Judge provided a packet of information and
responded to the questions provided by the Council members.
3. Determine any future meeting dates or subjects of
discussion.
Council will consider Parks & Recreation on February 22 at 5:30
p.m. and will not meet on Monday, February 26 due to conflict
with another function.
Motion to meet on Monday, February 26, and to consider Public
Works on Thursday, February 29 at 5:30 p.m. approved.
