MINUTES
LAWTON CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING
JUNE 2, 1995 - 5:00 P.M.
COUNCIL CHAMBER - WAYNE GILLEY CITY HALL

The meeting was called to order at 5:00 p.m. by Mayor Marley.
Notice of meeting and agenda were posted on the City Hall
bulletin board as required by law.

AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION: No one appeared to speak.
BUSINESS ITEMS:
1. Pursuant to Section 307B.4, Title 25, Oklahoma Statutes,
consider convening in executive session to discuss a settlement
offer received in the pending civil suit styled Delluomo, et. al.
vs. City of Lawton, et. al., Case No. CIV-93-; 677-A, in the
Federal Court of the Western District, State of Oklahoma, and, if
appropriate, take action in open session on the settlement offer.
Council met in executive session; the Attorney's representing the
City and the Officers were given appropriate guidance and
instruction from the Council and no action was needed in open
session.
REPORTS:
Schumpert said the City was successful in its appeal for the DARE
Grant in the amount of $70,000 as budgeted; 80% of the police
officers voted in favor of the FY 94-95 and FY 95-96 contracts as
written with minor changes. Marley said the Council supports the
Police Officers of the City of Lawton 100% and thanked them for
their diligent work; Branscum backed up his comments.
