LAWTON CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL RECONVENED MEETING
MAY 22, 1995 - 5:30 P.M.

The meeting was called to order at 5:30 p.m. by Mayor Marley.
Notice of meeting and agenda were posted on the City Hall
bulletin board as required by law.

1. Review and discuss proposed FY 1995-96 City of Lawton
Budget.
Schumpert provided a summary of mandated reductions in the
departments and reviewed the information.
The City Council reviewed and discussed the department budget
reductions.
Council moved to have a position for Assistant City Manager to
get as many grants as he can, to run the internship program and
the complaints from the Council and the City with the proviso
that everyone understands that if this doesn't work out, the
position wouldn't be supported in the next fiscal year budget.
Council moved to accept the budget as presented by staff.
A list of suggested changes to the CDBG project listing was
distributed and will be brought as an agenda item.
