LAWTON CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING

AUGUST 22, 1994 - 5:30 P.M.

The meeting was called to order at 5:30 p.m. by Mayor Marley. Notice of meeting and agenda were posted on the City Hall bulletin board as required by law.

Absent:    None.

BUSINESS ITEMS:

1.    Considered selecting the appropriate method to finance the Capital Improvement Program (CIP) based upon a proposed sales tax of 1.25% for five years. Issue revenue bonds or use the Oklahoma Water Resources Bond to be repaid by a 1.25% sales tax collected for five years.

2.    Considered identifying the specific projects to be included in the 1995 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). Exhibits: Five year CIP; Project descriptions; Parks and Recreation Supplemental Request. Motion: to follow that line sequence of events: 1. Wastewater Treatment Plant; 2. Landfill; 3. Sewer, I and I Study; 4. Sewer collection repairs, improvements, replacement and whatever is necessary based on the I and I Study; 5. Street repair and improvements; 6. Water Treatment and distribution improvement repair; 7. Necessary repairs and renovations of specific city facilities including the Library; 8. Enhancements to specific portions of the City parks if monies are available.
