The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. by Mayor Marley. Notice of meeting and
agenda
were posted on the City Hall bulletin board as required by law.

AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION: Jack Johnson invited everyone to the 7th Annual Tour of the

OLD BUSINESS:
1. Ord. 93-19 on adoption/transfer of animals adopted with amendments
- effective date is July
9, 1993.
2. Res. 93-60 on redemption fees of animals & license fees
adopted - effective date is July 9,
1993.
BUSINESS ITEMS:
3. Damage claim of Christine Harwood denied.
4. Ord. 93-20 rezoning 4401 SW Bishop to R-1 approved - drainage
problems in Rolling Hills
discussed; check date of improvements for possible maintenance bond coverage on roads.
5. Rezoning of 2622 Wolf Street to I-3 denied.
6. Rezoning of 2045 S Sheridan to I-1 denied.
7. Public hearing on Fy93-94 Budget held. Paint only to be provided
to Arts Center at 17th &
Ferris. Budget to be adopted at June 22 meeting with ordinance on drainage maintenance plan for
$1 per month surcharge on water accounts and establishment of enterprise fund.
8. Workers' compensation requirements for builders - Joint meeting
to be set up between
Council and Building Development Appeal Board with representative from Workers' Comp.
9. Res. 93-61 amending D-6 Urban Renewal Plan north of Gore and
west of Railroad Street -
approved.
10. Revocable permit to Freeman Teague at 914 SW "E"
Avenue approved.
11. Revocable permit
to The German American Club at 1410 SW Sheridan
Road approved.
12. Res. 93-62 designating fireworks times, areas approved -
request assistance in control of
fireworks at Robinson's Landing area.
13. Ord. 93-21 amending fishing permit fees (conversion of daily
to annual) approved.

18. Permanent utility easement for Sungate Addition, Part 7,
accepted from Nick Richards.

REPORTS:
Barfield said she would like to see progress on 11th Street by the Airport.
Mayor Marley asked for names of citizens who would like to serve on the Charter Review
Committee and said he would select the members from the names he received, as well as adding
some he wanted. Committee will report to Council.
Mitchell said ther eis a water standing on 67th Stree tin the outside lane and at the
entrance to
Food Lion. Alford said weeds need to be cut on 67th Street in the median and along the sides.
